About this kit
Building blocks that snap together for hands-on fun. Start small or go big, creating your own world one block at a time. One block, one click, endless possibilities.
Hack Blocks is a free kit of 3D printable parts that you can mix, match and build into your own block-style world. Download all the parts for a type at once, and print as many as your world needs.
What's inside: 4 types, 37 parts
- Fascia (19 parts): textured blocks and panels for the surfaces of your build. There is stone, grass, snowy grass, crystals, cactus, ore-style textures and more. Several are designed for multi-colour printing.
- Structure (3 parts): the base plate that all your blocks connect to, plus the scaffold and dogbone connectors that hold your build together. The connectors are designed to be printed in TPU.
- Track (3 parts): straight, curve and S-bend rails for laying out your own line.
- Cart (12 parts): a motorised train cart that runs on powered rails. It includes the shell, body, wheels, gear, brush holders and everything else you print, plus the full assembly guide.
Good to know about the Cart
- It runs on 6 V with a top speed of about 1.2 m/s and a maximum slope of 6 degrees.
- All the printed parts take about 9 hours, and the parts and electronics cost about $80.
- You'll need a 6 V motor, four 608-RS bearings, o-rings, M3 screws and nuts, nickel strip for the rails, and a power supply with an adjustable current limit. The full list is in the assembly guide PDF.
- The download includes a ready-to-print 3MF file for the Bambu Lab H2C and the individual STEP files for each part, so you can import them into any 3D printer software and use your own print settings.
Free to download. Print it, build it, make it yours.
